| Darren Emmett popped up right at the end of this match to secure the win for Chorley, giving the Magpies revenge for Stocksbridge's last minute winner in the same fixture last season. However there was much more at stake for the visitors this time, and they played a very defensive game, desperate not to give anything away. Chances were rare for both sides, Emmett had Chorley's best in the first half but put the ball jsut over from distance, whilst Stocksbridge's best effort was an Illingworth header which touched a post on the way out 20 minutes before the end. Then, with time almost up, Eatock was hauled back by Brown, who was sent off. The free kick was touched to Emmett by Eatock and Emmett's left-footed shot was unstoppable.
