Thomo Goes

Well gutted when I went on Scarborough's site:

"A hectic day of activity at the McCain Stadium saw the Boro squad strengthened just hours before the deadline for player registrations.

The new arrivals are defender Sean Davies, 21, who has played in several of Boro’s pre-season games, midfielder Neill Brisco, 28, previously with Port Vale and Rochdale, and Chris Thompson, 24, a forward who has signed from Chorley.

We now need another striker - It leaves us with Wrighty and Roscoe now after Thomo, Olsen and Franny going

24? :o Thought he was a little older than that!!

It is a big blow as he looked sharp at the Barnoldswick game bagging a brace.

But hopefully we can get through this and find someone to start up front.

Thommo

Thommo played just behind the front two in several games last season. Is he fast enough to be an out and out striker?

Patterson is reported to have signed several midfielders in recent weeks. Is there really a place for Thommo? Also, will there really be a place for Jamie?

Forwards come & go. That Buckley (??) looked quite sharp against East Stirlingshire. Is he still available? Also Roscoe and Wright linked together against PNE far better than Thommo (lone ranger) ever did. If they could develop that then we could end up with an effective strike force. Then there's those strikers from Warrington who were said to be signing. Maybe we can afford them now Thommo's gone.

Looks like Jamie has won a place in the team judging by this report  http://www.scarboroughtoday.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=801&ArticleID=1681984

And of course, he did indeed start vs Worksop in their 0-0 draw yesterday.
