Thread title should now read : Connerton Back At Lancaster !

Decent signing for LCFC as he was trialling at Chester a couple of weeks ago.

Heard a rumour that is he is set to sign for Workington over the weekend
think Lancaster stand in manager Mark Hoyle is resigned to losing the former magpie

Maybe so but this was on twitter today from a Morcambe and Lancaster reporter Adam Lord ‏@VisitorAdam
RT @AaronJ_lcfc: Hoyle, "JC was given an offer he could not refuse and we wish him well. We can not deny him the opportunity"

funnily enough lancaster played workington in a friendly yesterday and he didn't play for either.
the teams were

Lancaster – Holden, Parkinson, Elderton, Stringfellow, Marshall, Wilson, Wainwright, Carney, Kilifin, Wills, Clark Z. Substitutes – Clark G, Culshaw, Winder Rothwell, Bowen, McKenna, Hudson (all used).

Workington – Taylor, Cowperthwaite, Andrews, May, Wordsworth (Tyson), Sloan, Boyd, Wright J (Storey), Curtis, Wraighte (McLuckie). Substitutes – Hunter for Tyson, Routledge (not used).

I wonder if Workington's Cowperthwaite is any relation to the great Barrow striker Colin?

I have a gut feeling he won't be the only one to leave. Quite a few on Monday where saying the same.

Is it better to act now and replace players, or should we give them more time...

GF was obviously seeing what the supporters were seeing with the goalkeeper situation. Its a shame Russ left, but players make their decisions with their own interests at heart. I am sure the new keeper will bring some confidence back to the team.

Although Andy was criticised and probably rightly so, he will have been a good keeper in the past and he will be a good one in the future, it just didn't work for him at Chorley. Given more time, it may have worked, but GF doesn't have time he wants promotion....

Very sensible comment, better to act now than leave things for another month or so. I feel we may see a couple more ins and outs soon.

After the incident at Marine - GF was backed into a corner, of course he has to support his captain and thus AR became untenable

More to the point though - would be the comment made by 3G, who are you referring to?

Being mates doesn't win games, you've got to look at the performances and quality of the players, neither does past reputations win games, we need it here and now. Garry has done what he had to do and also been man enough to see a problem that req sorting asap. If others are not pulling their weight and are looking to go ( big earners or not ) well so be it. At the moment it's plain to see were lacking up front and there seems a missmatch when Foz and Killer play together.
