Well, he was involved in what must have been one hell of a game away at Grantham today. Kendal won 4-3 in a match in which, if the Evo-Stik website results page is to be believed, THREE goals were scored in the 18th minute!

I've been contacted by a gent from London asking if anyone knows how he can contact one of our former players. The chap he is after is BRIAN PARKER, a goalkeeper from the late 70's/early 80's who was on Arsenals books at one point. If anyone knows Brian or how to contact him can they let me know. Thanks

In my ignorance I did ask him!
Dave Hindle remembers him and reckons he was from Coppull so I'd love to know how the Arsenal bit came abou, maybe we can book him for the Legends evening and find out!

Reading on DevaChat, the supporters are not happy at signing a former Goat and Magpie who is fat, slow, injury prone and too old (their words not mine)!

Also noticed he's agent is another ex-Magpie, Neil Sang.

COLWYN BAY again ! C.B manager on signing him states ' the player still has ambitions '
... will he ever stay at a club long enough to ' achieve an ambition ' ?

Yes, the Littlest Hobo has achieved his ambition by returning to his native Wales. How many clubs has he joined and left since departing Victory Park to reach his goal? http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/payn ... bay-20464/

One fan on Deva Chat remembers with fondness 'cheating' Shelton's 'dive' at the Exacta which led to Chorley's winning penalty a couple of seasons ago. He encourages his fellow Cestrians give him stick when they play at the Bay later this season. At this rate though Payne will have long gone. Where next? My prediction Rhyl ....
