Chorley V Rushall Olympic....

Postby Charlie Magpie » Sat Oct 05, 2013 8:18 pm

After an absence of three weeks, Saturday football returns to Victory Park with the visit of Rushall Olympic on 12th October.

Once again, the fixture fixer has done us a big favour by scheduling us to play at home on another international weekend. Yes, it is the long awaited and anticipated clash between England and Montenegro on Friday! So no Premier League or Championship League matches, and yet another great opportunity to increase our 'gate' by attracting local supporters of Bolton, Blackburn and Wigan. Unfortunately, PNE are at home against Crewe so I won't be 'beating the Magpies' drum' on their forum.

It's almost 'Non-League Day Part Two', following on from the official NLD when our attendance against Stafford Rangers was elevated to 896 following the additional publicity and efforts of individual supporters. Only 104 spectators short of the magical 1,000+ attendance, and with another determined effort by us all, I'm sure that target will be achieved!

Please remind all local supporters of Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn that Victory Park is the only place for them to be next Saturday, and league club season ticket -holders will, as usual for league games, be admitted for only £5.00 on production of a current season ticket at the turnstile.

Today's results demonstrate just how close this league is going to be this season. If we are going to be contenders for promotion, nothing less than 100% effort both on and off the pitch will be sufficient. Let's pull out all the stops and ensure we achieve the 1,000+ target next Saturday! And then? .....keep pushing for the next milestone of 1,100.

Spread the word, Chorley V Rushall next Saturday, mention it to friends, neighbours, work-mates, etc, etc. Remember, we are all part of the 'off-the-field' Chorley team!
