Under18's take a step closer to the title

Postby Jamwil » Sun Apr 24, 2016 6:08 pm

Today the under 18's travelled to Altrincham and ran out convincing 6-2 winners.

With goals from Ryan Farnworth, Harry Foulds, Lewis Kelsall (2), Alex Green and Danny Simm put the young magpies needing 4 points from the last 2 games to win the title.

Next week we take a break from the league as we contest the Divisonal Cup Final against 2nd place Bolton Wyersdale at Ashton Athletic 2.30pm KO

In the LFA floodlight league we finish our campaign tommorow night 25th April when we welcome Myerscough College to Victory Park 7.30pm ko

Great stuff. Followed it on Twitter. Good luck lads in your final few games.

My offer of a minibus to Ashton is still available

Surprised to see no bar open last night when there was a football match on, also a pool match and a board meeting taking place in the clubhouse. However well done to the lads who I believe won the game 3-0 and also good luck in your remaining games.

There wasn't a pool match, it was a practice and the bar was deemed unnecessary
