Telford game.

Hoping we go out with a win for the end of the season show down. Even though Telford are safe now, a feat which looked impossible in December, they'll be playing for the same outcome.

Well done to end the season on the right note, enjoyed the game today, thought we deserved the win but in my view never a penalty, however thought we were much the better side. Please Matt, get someone in up top to help Darren, sorry but the others we have seen are just not good enough, certainly not as good as Deano. Hopefully Matt will get the right 4 or 5 players he needs and preferably fairly quickly so we can get off to a better start to the new season.
Will be good to see Alty. Kidderminster and Halifax next season as well as Darlington and Salford. COYM

Cracking climax to what had earlier been a typical end-of-season game today! No doubting we deserved to win to enhance an already impressive home record - only one loss in eleven at VP this year. Superb attendance for a last match with nothing at stake. Credit to Telford for bringing a decent following too. Great news from Matt about Darren. He was awesome again today, though the Telford No.6 was policing him defiantly until injured. Was it a penalty? 'Scandalous decision' according to Telford manager Rob Smith. What an unforgettable goal Rossy's would have been, had his strike from beyond the halfway line gone in instead of clipping the post with the keeper nowhere! We've ended on a high note and only lost out on seventh place on goal-difference. Matt is clearly very optimistic about prospects for next season -- on today's evidence justifiably so. The league already looks a strong line-up with two good teams in Darlington and Salford coming up and Alty and Halifax dropping down. These four will at least give the league a more truly northern look and reduce the number of long trips.

Theoretically it will be good to have Altrincham, Halifax & Salford in the league. However, these are all clubs with big budgets that will be competing for the same small pool of players as Harrogate, Fylde, Stockport & FCUM.
Next season will, undoubtedly, be a tough one.
