Ins & outs

It's far too quiet on here!!!! Who do we think will have left before the season? And who would you like to see come in? I can't see charnock, Dorney or one of Jarvis/ Beasley staying. And I'd like 1 more centre forward.

My understanding was he turned down a new contract offer at Stanley. Be a super addition to our squad. COYM
Cant really see Jack Dorney getting many starts with the look of the squad we have assembled to be honest.

He would be a good signing but we've got to pull it off yet, he wouldn't be the first to use us for training and then go elsewhere

I for one would love to see Beasley staying as I think he is a class player;Jarvo also gives us options; Sadly I agree that Charnock and Dorney may have served their purpose. On the question of a centre forward I need some help from you guys as am going to throw a curve-ball here with the suggestion of " Killer" Kliheeney. His goal scoring record both for The Magpies and everywhere else has been superb but........ could he cut it at this level?..............and what were the circumstances of his departure ? Help Please.

I'm replying only because it HAS been far too quiet on here. As regards, Ciaran Kilheeney's departure, I don't think Chorley were the first club to want to get him off the pay-roll. Recollections are rather hazy but there were, I think, specific issues and demands in his pay-agreement, including bonuses for scoring (he took a lot of penalties for Warrington last season!). I note incidentally that at least two of Warrington's title-winning team are perhaps surprisingly moving on. As for centre-forwards, we'll be up against Tom Denton again, as he has joined Halifax from NFU, along with the impressive Liam King. I agree that the signing of a centre-forward should remain a priority for Matt and his team. We'll need a strong goal-threat in what will be a very tough league.

Really great news, this offers us options now both in terms of personnel up front and also in the formation we play. Realise that Marcus was not prolific but his work rate is tremendous and I feel sure he will be a very popular player next season. COYM

Very good signing. He's a very very clever centre forward. Works hard and is good in the air! If he can add a few more goals to his game then we've got a real talent

Now Carver is in - expect either Connerton or Stephenson to be off

Or we play 3 and push daz and Sefton wider, leaving connerton as a squad player. I've got to say that I'm so impressed with the club's recruitment this summer

Carver is a brilliant signing and hopefully a sign of how we are going to play next season. Impressed with signings so far and if we could get a midfield general it would be even better
