Dear Forumers

I'm writing to ask you to rejoin Chorley Supporters Trust for the new season.

You will have heard that Chorley Council is in negotiations to take ownership of our ground, Victory Park. The process is expected to take several months at least, and then attention will turn to the ownership of our football club.

During the close season, we have been in regular contact with the football club board to stress our view that community ownership is the best way forward. We've also spoken to Supporters Direct, the governing organisation for all Trusts. They have fifteen years of experience helping clubs to move into community ownership and their help and advice are invaluable to us.

Last season we raised over £10,000 for the Fan Ownership Fund, beating the target we set out to achieve when the fund was launched. This time we are aiming for a total of £25,000. If you already contribute, thank you for your support.

If you don't and want to help us meet our target, please visit localgiving.org/cfcst

Our other big focus this season is youth development. We're committed to support Chorley FC's youth setup to the tune of £3000, making the fans one of the main sponsors. In order to raise the money without distracting attention from the Fan Ownership Fund, we're going to expand our successful pledges scheme. For more information on how to help us support youth development, please see the pledges leaflet that will be published on the forum soon.

In summary, a busy year lies ahead. It's likely that we'll be discussing the ownership of our football club at some point this season, and the more members we have, the more weight we will carry. So please rejoin and support us, as we work to secure a stable future for our club.

PLEASE VISIT OUR STALL AT ANY OF THE HOME FRIENDLIES

Yours sincerely
