WOW Superb overall performance from the Magpies.Second half really positive, even against the impressive Southport defence.Carver and Gonzalez working well together could be a good sign going forward. Southport's second goal was a bit of a farce...........Sam Ashton should have played to the whistle.....he could easily have dealt with that but seemed to stop...like everyone else, otherwise he made some class saves.Overall............................bring on the Welsh!

Thought there were some very impressive performances tonight, particularly pleased with second half, just a wee bit concerned that we may lack a goal scorer, otherwise looking good. Looking forward to Saturday.

I'm sure Matt is looking for goal scorer, we might just have to wait a bit whilst players sort themselves out. I don't think we will see Adam Edgar again.

I don't think we'll see Shelton Payne again as he played (and scored) for Trafford last night

We might if he manages to stay at Trafford for another week or so, haha.

And I knew I'd heard that name of Southport's player who scored the winner last night. He was the one who terrorised our back line at AFC Telford in March (https://youtu.be/rChjsWMFHAI?t=5m10s). Was released at the end of last season. Wonder if he's on trial at Southport? He could do a job for us and could be that striker we're looking for....
