Supporting the club 2016/17

This season the club has launched an U21s side in addition to the U18s. Some of the players in the new squad have already been signed up with contracts such is the managements belief in their potential. Matt said at the Q&A that he expects some of these lads to break into the first this season, certainly in the Lancashire Cup.
It has been estimated that running this exciting venture for the future players of the club will cost in the region of £15k a season. The club are looking for a number of "partners" to help fund it so it doesn't impact on Matt's already tight first team budget.

Chorley Supporters Trust are this season extending their successful pledges scheme in an attempt to raise at least £3000 which will go directly to funding the new youth set up at Victory Park. Last season we raised over £1200 so we really need people to get behind the scheme this year for the benefit of the young players coming through.

How does it work?
You pledge a fixed amount of money based on the first team's performance. £1 per goal for example. You then pay the money due at the Supporters Trust table, at a monthly meeting or online via local giving (where your pledge can also benefit from gift aid). A running total will be published here, on the Trust website and in the match day programme.

At the end of the season all "pledgers" will be entered into a prize draw to win a season ticket for the 2017/18 season.

You can sign up by filling out a pledge form at the Supporters Trust table before todays and every home game throughout the season. You can also add your pledges here too. There are no minimum or maximum pledges.

Here are my pledges for the season:

£1 per goal scored
£5 per league start made by a player that has come through the U21s or U18s
£50 for reaching the FA cup 1st round
£100 for reaching the FA Trophy Final
£100 for winning the league
£50 for winning the play off final.

Show your support for the ambition of the club and the players of the future by joining the pledges scheme.

Thanks

Full details over the next day or so, but the summary so far is that Saturday raised £47.50, which is a good start for Chorley's youth system. 23 people have pledged so far. I think we will need 50 pledgers to be confident of raising the full £3000 if our form is about the same as it was last season, so we are hopefully half-way there already. Thank you for your generosity so far.

As promised, here's the details of all the pledges to date. We estimate that about 50 people pledging each week will be enough to raise the £3000 we want to support youth development, so we are about half-way to the target after one match. Please consider joining in to help our young players. You can post your pledge on here if you like or check the link for other ways of pledging.

First week of pledges.

£175 raised from pledges so far, which is a very pleasing start. You can read all about it, as well as see details of every pledge from every match here

Would it be unreasonable to ask that this teams fixtures are posted somewhere, believe they have played a game tonight. If this team is the focus for fundraising then let's broadcast them.(Not telling you how to do your jobs).

Hi Ian

There is a link to the to FA page where the Development Squad fixtures and results are stored on chorleyfc.com - under the U21s tab. It was also posted on our Facebook page and Twitter after the game last night.
Just to save you time for now, here's the link : http://full-time.thefa.com/DisplayTeam. ... =172932240

Defeats are always bad news and the pledges are no exception. Chorley's youth development setup netted just £4 from our defeat at Darlington.

Neil Hailwood (via Twitter) has pledged 50p per goal scored by a player with an odd numbered shirt. He's happy to have the pledge backdated to start of the season.

I know that following the first 4 games of the season we were unsuccessful in not having any player receive a red or yellow card. However, I have been on holiday for the last 2 weeks and I am not sure whether we received cards in the Darlington, Worcester, Stalybridge and Tamworth games. I would be grateful if someone could confirm the 'card-count' for these matches.

Thank you

Cheers Mark, a lot of time and hard work on your part in keeping this spreadsheet updated, thank you.

My pledge total stands at £10 following no cards received at the Worcester City game. Hopefully, I will be coughing up lots more cash throughout the rest of the season as I would not want to see us lose the services of the likes of Marcus Carver due to suspensions.

Great to see a few more pledges coming in this week. Thanks for your support. I think that takes us to over 30 individual pledgers so far this season as we aim to raise £3,000 to fund Youth Development. Every penny pledged will go towards keeping Dave Chadwick's men going.
If we get the right result at Altrincham tomorrow we'll hit our first £500.

Here's the state of the pledges after our draw at Altrincham last night. Charlie Magpie gets his wish of coughing up a tenner thanks to a referee who apparently didn't fancy any paperwork after the match.

Hi . I'm adding £2 for each pair of black boots worn by a Chorley player. So far unofficially added around £6 to our overall total!

£1 for every time the wood work is hit by Chorley. I'm sure this can be confirmed by numerous officials around the ground.

Not including the cross bar challenge seen at half time! Also not including penalty shootouts.
