In the end a point was pleasing enough on a ground where we never seem to do well. By my reckoning we have had three players sent off here this century, all for violent conduct - Jamie Squires in 2004, Teague last year and now Carver.

Telford look very short in most departments, although it must be said we did very little to test their goalkeeper for all the possession we enjoyed in the first half. I foresee a long season for them. Meanwhile our unbeaten run continues. Let's hope we can stretch it into October by progressing in the Lancashire Cup against Prestwich on Wednesday
