My observation -if this lad was no 11 for Brig against us in the Lancs Trophy game, he was very pacey and direct and made Matt Urwin produce a very good save from a well struck shot -so could be a good 'un.

On the other hand if he wasn't no 11- :(

Complacency was the enemy last season by all accounts, but we should be able to win the Lancashire Cup without reinforcement

Well lets hope he gets a good run in the team. Something positive to me is the developing link with Fleetwood, who seem happy to give long term loans. It's important for clubs like ours to have a good relationship with a league club, the benefits work both ways - we get talented young players, who can make a big difference. Fleetwood get to give their youngsters vital experience at an appropriate level.

Where does it say it’s long term Andrew? I’ve only read youth loan. By all accounts he’s a right midfielder so that’s Hughes position. Unless Hughes has an injury we don’t know about , I can only see him warming the bench.

That's strange Tempie I'm sure I read that he was on loan 'till the end of the season.

I would imagine Fleetwood would not be happy if he was to take up the traditional "bench warmer" role that is usually assigned to younger players at the club. It must also be slightly disheartening for our own young players who never seem to even get a glimpse at proving themselves at the higher level.

According to the National League website which broke the story, he is! And if he's half as good as Nick H., I doubt he'll be doing too much bench-warming.

I hope he does really well at Chorley, I think the growing relationship we have with Fleetwood as a "Nursery Club", could be very beneficial for both sides.
