So who wrote the Wakefield review in the Chorley Citizen? Look at the match report, bottom of column two, penultimate line.

Poor Danny Nolan! Must have been nerves or something he ate.

I think the sub-editor has been lax (no pun intended) in his job. This could run and run (pun extremely intended).

Haven't actually seen the report in the Citizen but will have a look at it tomorrow, though I think I've got the gist as to what the subject matter might be, and I would gather that it probably involves a misprint, and speaking of such I would like to draw the attention of anyone who might be interested to the article in the LEP last Saturday which was an interview with Ryan-Zico Black, the Lancaster player who doesn't seem to be anywhere near as good as his name suggests he might be! It would appear that he's written a book about not quite making it as a full-time professional footballer, but the article does contain an unfortunate misprint - I've just checked and it is transcribed on the LEP website (if you don't want to read the whole piece it's in the tenth paragraph!)...

Magpie+Baggie (can we call you "Maggie" for short?)

As they've corrected the article you need to get your hands on a copy of the paper. If I get time this evening (busy! busy! busy!) then I'll scan it and post it.

Personal decorum dictates that I cannot repeat what was written; however, I fully intend sending it off to Radio Four's "News Quiz". I can just hear Sandi Toksvig (that well known non-league afficionado) having a chuckle at it.

Magpie+Baggie wrote:"Maggie" is a bit feminine! How about either "Heppy" (in relation to my surname "Hepworth" or MB. 8)

(For the purposes of the forum only!)

I'll see if I can get hold of the Citizen.

Can you not give the Citizen a rest
