Road Accident Stops Woodley Target Men 18/10/2006

On the arrival at Rossendale United on Tuesday evening Woodley Sports were rocked by the news that three of their players had been involved in a road accident in Manchester City Centre on their way to the game. It appears that they collided with a car which is alleged to have not stopped at a red light.

Danny Queely, Daniel Douglas–Pringle and Mario–Sergio Daniel, who have so far contributed 11 goals to the Woodley cause this season were unable to continue the journey as their car was a complete right off.

Woodley played the game with a squad of 12 players including two former youth team players Mark Haslam & Gary Gee with Manager Ally Pickering named as sub but not used.

The task was a little too much for the Cheshire clubs depleted squad as they managed to hold out until midway through the second half but eventually going down 2-0.
