From report http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/former-hyde-secretary-jailed-32712/

"The amount [Hyde lost] was nearly £12,000 over a twelve-month period. This is a large amount of money to a Club of our size and in our position; a loss we can ill afford..[He]put the financial stability of the club in jeopardy."

Puts our loss through the actions of our "accountant" in perspective -was it not quoted as £70K? -and the fact we came through it is a testimony to the work of all those who rallied round the club.

Ian yes they are 2 separate incidents but are the same with the individuals involved taking money that wasn't theirs, both abused trust that was placed in them. Both brought organisations to their knees and damaged families and friendships. There are no extenuating circumstances, to pretend there was is a distortion of the truth. In both cases people were found guilty but then as the old saying goes prisons are full of innocent people.
