So?

Is there anybody NOT going on Saturday, purely on the strength of the poor performance against Curzon (I realise there will alays be some who can't get to a match because of work or family commitments, or because of illness)? Thought not!

Well I'll be there. It's my 400th consecutive game so I can't really miss that

I think tomorrow will give us the fans an indication of the teams/clubs desire to even reach the playoffs, never mind win them,we have a great fan Base which is becoming disillusioned at recent performances.

Well that was 10000000000 times better than last week. Funny game football, Gainsborough were leading Darlington until the 98th minute last week, and this week they didn't look like turning us over. Oh well, 5 games to go, still tight at the top. Who knows...

Paul Brennan asked me when was the last time someone scored a hat-trick...

Josh Hine - 3 goals against Tamworth in the 6-0 win - 28 March 2015.

So almost 2 years to date.

I enjoyed that. I don't really think the team relaxed & started playing football until second goal went in. Still, four goals, a clean-sheet, and three points, are not to be sniffed at, so no complaints from me.

Gainsborough have gained only one point from last 8 games.
A win or draw at Nuneaton needed before we know we've turned a corner.

Top three in Vanarama site form league are Halifax, Nuneaton and Gloucester; three of our run-in five games.

Terrific second half yesterday - the players just needed their confidence restored with that first goal - after that there was no holding them. Perhaps they'd read Ian R's comment too! :) Don't miss Trinity manager Dave Frecklington's brutally honest summing-up of the match ('an absolute car crash!') - very complimentary to CFC too. Great to see Jason Walker back on top form and a key performance from Dale with two if not three assists. Still work to be done and a tricky game next up at Nuneaton. Need three wins and a draw from five ideally, I reckon. The table is now looking as many would have predicted at the start of the season with the big money men (plus Chorley) queueing up at the top. A superb effort to be where we are regardless of the finishing order.

Good comments Mike, obviously Jason with his hat trick was nailed on for MOM but as you mentioned Dale was outstanding, all energy again and with the assists, I think he is playing as well as ever at the moment and it certainly shows if his performance slips a little. Very pleased for Marcus to get his goal, he is a grafter, took quite a battering yesterday especially as Jack Sampson was not there to take some of the load. Would also like to say very pleased to see Louis Myers get a cameo at the end, thought he looked very useful, the ball across to Dale was an absolute peach. Next Saturday will be much more difficult but I am sure the lads will be up for it, it's boiling up for a hell of a finish and how terrific that once again we are involved, very well done everyone.
