AFC Darwen friendly.

Bit of confusion over tonight's friendly at Darwen. One of their twitter posts says 7.30 KO the other says 7.45. Take your pick.

Easy answer, get there for 7.30, if it's 7.30 you are on time, if it's 7.45, get a beer or a coffee, win, win!

Decent workout against a very unorganised Darwen side. Two completely different teams in each half again except for trialist number 7. It could and should have been at least 8 at half time. Pretty much everyone played including waqas. Credit where it's due o'keefe had a very good 45min, scoring 2 and looking very much the goal scoring box to box players he was billed as. Gornell got 2 and again looked a cut above everyone else. For me it's difficult to assess the trialists too much against a poor team. The number 7 had some nice touches but also gave the ball away in dangerous areas and the young centre backs looked totally assured, but as I said Darwen were terrible so not much to deal with. The coloured lad who played up front 2nd half is very quick and has decent movement but also very raw! Probably too raw for our level. We played the last 20min with 10 men presumably to allow Darwen into the game more.
