Does it really matter where he might end up or whether we can stop him etc?
Surely the fact that he has joined a long list of players who join the club then leaving again without ever establishing themselves in the side?
Why does this keep happening, why do good players join then leave, having warmed the bench every game?
Matty Hughes next?
What sort of reputation is the club building for itself amongst other clubs and players?

What about the likes of Dale Whitham, Andy Teague, Adam Roscoe...

Players come, player go... that's football

As outlined at the Fans' Forum tonight, Matty Hughes is very much part of the plans for the senior squad. As Janny and Vermo explained, as Hughes did not have a club in the summer he did not get any pre season games under his belt and is therefore not yet 100% match fit. They added that if he is played for too long, too soon, he is more likely to pick up an injury which could see him missing for a month. This is why we have not seen him start yet, but has come on as an impact player so far. The management are fully aware of Matty's potential as a player which is why he will feature for longer once he is fully fit.

Thanks for that information Metz. Was anything said last night about progression from the Under 21's into the 1st team squad?
