Penalties

Postby Ed » Mon Sep 18, 2017 8:07 pm

With such a strong defence, we could go some way in cup competitions this season even against teams from higher leagues and match the best if we can conjure up 0-0 draws and a win on penalties. Question is do we regularly practise penalties?

Now who's next in FA Cup?
Ashton Athletic.

There will be close games in FA Cup the further we go. Penalty shootouts could see us through especially with.our tight defence.
With our last two penalties missed however which 5 players have the confidence to take one?
Time to practise perhaps.

Blakeman shoots hard and low from free kicks. Why isn't he involved in penalties?

With FA Cup upon us, just wanted to bring this up.
A replay at Boston perhaps?
Penalty shoot-out?

Ah - penalties

Personally I like the old Franny Lee method just welly it as hard as you can. Alternatively there is the Nathan Ellington method a slow
walk to the ball then shut his eyes and side foot it.

Draw for first round live on the BBC at 7pm Monday - it would be nice to see Mr Jansen and the Fleetwood Messi live in the studio

No! No replay please!!! Was hard enough to go to Blyth on a Tuesday night but Boston again on a Tuesday for the second season in a row is too much! :D

Not only do we have to go to Boston on a Tuesday night, our trip to Gainsborough in the league will almost certainly be a Tuesday night affair too as they progressed in the cup.
