PA system done

Postby Munch » Thu Jul 14, 2011 11:23 pm

As you are well aware the PA system was in need of some work!
2day this was completed with new horns bein installed in the ends of the main stands and configured to give the best range possible!
It sounded ok this afternoon from pilling lane end but obv tht with empty ground so Saturday wil be 1st test reli!

I started off yesterday on the grassy knoll & couldn't hear a thing, I moved to the Duke st end when it started raining & coludn't hear a thing. In the 2nd half I went to the Pilling lane end, guess what ?. This is becoming a standing joke amongst the blokes I go with. Get your hand in your pocket & get it sorted.

Stood in the Duke street end and couldn't make out a single word don't know if it's the system or the person speaking, sounds like he's got the mike to close to his mouth.

No disrespect to the guy who does the announcing as he probably does it for nothing, but me thinks we need someone with more dolcit tones.

I was sat in the press box and could make out with what was said. Mind you , I am sat next to Mike. I think the problem is that someone has tried to make it maximum volume to try and reach the parts of the ground to be heard, but it has distorted the quality of it. Trust me, there's nothing wrong with Mike's elocution, it's just the equipment he has to work with.

Seriously ... This is a farce ! In the interests of 'Public Safety' ... not to mention 'Customer Service'
... A system that is only audible to supporters at 1 of 4 sides of the ground aint good enough !!!
