So another one bites the dust. All I can say is that the Chorley FC youth development policy is working very effectively.......for other clubs. It reminds me of the current state of the NHS ie:its a great thing, full of talented enthusiastic, hard working people, but its gradually being dismantled and sold off.
I would hope somebody at the club has a very good answer to why the scheme was set up in the first place. It has produced some very talented young players, using money raised by supporters, only for the whole system to fail because the young players were not given even a sniff of first team football.

Enjoy your pie Tempie, the pies where I live are rubbish, I long for a proper butter pie from Halls on Eaves Lane!

From the Colne website:
"Colne have fought off competition from a number of clubs in the National League and Evostik Premier for the signature of the 20 year-old, who has been in outstanding form for Chorley Development side this season.
Director of Football Danny Bolton added ‘Harry had been identified by Cunny and the Chairman prior to me joining the club. However, he quickly joined Mossley and we have followed his development closely. Harry is a big strong lad, with footballing skills beyond his years and definitely knows where the back of the net is. "

Says it all really

Ha! yes but what will actually happen is he will quickly get scouted by Liverpool and make his first team debut within six months, netting Colne a cool £250,000, they will gain promotion to the National North where they beat us on the last day of the season relegating us to the Evo Stick Premier.
Cynical? Maybe, but the way we give young players away it could well happen eventually.
